THE LIBERAL CHRISTIAN YOUR HOST:   Rev. Ron is an ordained Unity minister, retired from full time church, yet feels passionate about carrying on the message of New Thought based on Jesus' teachings to others through the new technology of the internet <more> PURPOSE  :   The purpose of this website is to form a community of like-minded individuals who consider themselves Liberal Christians.  Persons who learn from the teachings of Jesus, but who keep an open mind to experiencing God without the traditional dogma, ritual, and rigid beliefs associated with many traditional, and most evangelical and fundamental Christian churches. We seek to pave the way for uniting a segment of people who feel a kinship to Christianity but who prefer a  practical, progressive, new thought approach to how they view a higher power and live their lives through their spirituality.   LIBERAL CHRISTIAN BELIEFS:   Let's also see if we can begin to come to some basis as to why we feel inclined to discount some of the dogma, and rigid beliefs and tenets of "Christianity".  It is my opinion based on the evolution of intelligence and consciousness that has occurred since the time of Jesus that it is very normal that we as humans question <more>   REV. Ron's intentions are to present a message and open up dialogue with those who feel a kindred Spirit to the message and grow our community into a large, unified voice that will  eventually be heard <more>   ISSUE OF THE DAY:   How does the Liberal Christian stand and vote on controversial issues of today?  That is a question we hope to answer by the input from our readers.  We will periodically pick a subject, give our viewpoint on it and ask our readers for their response.  We will publish the results so that we all can get a feeling for the general opinion of the Liberal Christian on that specific issue.  Please refrain from name calling, slurs, and profanity. Certainly, if you are not happy with the way some of our government officials are treating the issue, you are welcome to voice that opinion, but to also follow it up with positive ways to help solve the problems you feel it is creating.   Rev.
